SFNC’s Statement of Faith

We believe that the Bible is God’s message of truth to all people everywhere.

We believe that God exists in three persons as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is almighty and no one compares with him. God created all things and is actively involved in the affairs of people today. He is perfect in love and justice.

We believe the Bible teaches that Jesus is God. Jesus was born of a virgin and grew to manhood. Jesus lived on this earth as a man in total perfection. He was crucified and died for the sins of all people. Jesus rose from the dead and is alive today in heaven interceding for those who trust in him.

We believe the Bible teaches that all people have turned away from God’s commands, as given in the Bible, and are sinners. Since all are sinners, God in his justice must punish us.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to God. Through trusting in his sacrifice for our sins, we can be in right standing with God.

We believe that when people die, all who trust and believe in Jesus Christ will live eternally in the presence of God in pure happiness. Those who do not accept Jesus Christ will be punished in a conscious hell forever.

We believe that God loves all people and has provided everything necessary for their salvation. He is calling each person to respond to him.
